KIMUAK is an annual selection of short films made in Euskadi, that aims to give the broadest possible image of the extraordinary Basque production. The selection that Txema Muñoz, head of KIMUAK programming, has curated for Lago Film Fest XII gathers some of the most successful shorts of the past three years; it’s an incredibly diverse mix of documentaries (Minerita), animations (Don Miguel, I Said I Would Never Talk About Politics), experimental productions (Sailor’s Grave), fictions (Zarautzen erosi zuen, Lost Village), fantasy (Colera) and comedy (Democracia). The selection will also include a world premiere, a previously unseen short that’s included in the KIMUAK 2016 programme.
