What do you see? It all starts from there. Glimpsing the story in a single detail, seeing another side in a reality we thought we knew, looking at the world through the camera lens. Directors lend viewers their vision, speak to them through their films. Viewers try on the directors’ glasses, take them off, wear their own, decide what to see. It’s table tennis. And critics? They open the dialogue, moderate it, rekindle it. They say “Look at it through my eyes too”, they say, “Why don’t you look at it this way?”. Directors, critics, viewers: a dialogue of many voices, made of views and points of view. A dialogue sparked by the film criticism workshop, held in collaboration with Nisimasa, a champion of young European cinema. A dialogue to learn how to see, look, discuss. See you there.
