FROM THE IDEA TO THE SCRIPT. THE ART TO BE CURIOUS
The exhibition dedicated to Rodolfo Sonego is held near the center of the town hall of Puos of Alpago (Belluno), the village where the famous scriptwriter was born. It started on April 18th 2009 and on June 14th was closed after an important cycle of events. The exhibition offered the possibility to analyze and study the work of Rodolfo Sonego, giving space to a stimulating professional research in collaboration with university La Sapienza in Rome.
The initiative, in accord to a program between Regione Veneto and Puos of Alpago village, was tended to valorize the figure of the scriptwriter in three ways: an exhibition, a review of films and a workshop of script-writing. To the participant who best distinguished himself has been given the Silver Medal by the President of the Republic.

Conceived by the university La Sapienza in Rome through the lecturer Franca Bossalino, the exhibition contains ten paintings and sketches of inestimable importance, because of the habit of Rodolfo Sonego to use them as modus operandi to take notes and to fix ideas for the screen-plays.

Every Saturday in Puos d’Alpago a review of unforgettable films of Italian comedy was screened, especially those with Alberto Sordi. Sonego took part in these films as writer and scriptwriter.
1 workshop
The 8, 9 and 10 of May, at Casa della Gioventù of Puos d’Alpago a selection of 13 young people took part in a workshop: they all were scriptwriters and writers that already distinguished themselves in quality and talent during the Lago Film Fest. Special guest of the seminar was the son of Rodolfo Sonego, Giulio, again in Puos d’Alpago after a lot of time and absolutely enthusiastic of the demonstration in honour of his father.
During the workshop students, coming from various regions of Italy, have worked to
a screen-play under the guide of Antonello Rinaldi, student, friend and collaborator of Rodolfo Sonego. This wrokshop was thought with Antonello Rinaldi to re-create a place – space and time – similar to Rodolfo’s working atmosphere, living together and comparing each other for one weekend, analyzing some original screen-plays, watching rare movies and developing an unpublished subject.
