THE SONIC SCENE: WHAT IS SOUND DESIGN?

What does sound mean in cinema? Eric Guerrino Nardin, sound engineer, composer and audio technician, will tell us about the perceptive facts to consider, the techniques through which the sound of a film is built and the aesthetic aspects implicit to the creation of a soundtrack.

FROM FILM TO SYNTHESIZERS

An open reasoning on the relation between electronic music and cinema, starting from Feather, the latest film by Roan Johnson. We’ll examine the most interesting soundtracks composed with the aid of synthesizers, from Vangelis’ Blade Runner to Cliff Martinez’s Traffic. We’ll also look at the work of great musicians such as Carpenter, Cristobal Tapia de Veer, Apparat and Claudio Simonetti through their relationship with images.
