COSMINA STRATAN

Cosmina Stratan (1984) is a romanian actress. After graduating in acting from UNATC Bucharest, Cosima appeared in several short films and plays. In 2012, she was cast in Cristian Mungiu’s “Beyond the Hills” as the main character, Voichita; the film marked her feature film debut and won her the Best Actress at Cannes Film Festival in 2012. After two years from this event she was selected as “Shooting Star” at the Berlin International Film Festival. She is currently playing in several theatres in Bucharest working with directors like Andrei Serban, Neil Labute and Gelu Colceag.

PETER MILLARD

Peter Millard is an Independent Animation Filmmaker from the Malvern Hills in England and is now based in London. Whilst studying at both the Film School of Wales Newport and The Royal College of Art he created several short animated films that went on to be screened internationally around the world at some of the most prestigious animation/experimental film festivals around the world.

Since graduating he has retained the very independent DIY nature of his work by self funding himself with various part time jobs and has continued to make several more short animations that continue to be shown internationally at festivals in his heavily surreal and absurdist style from his studio in South London Peckham. He has also had several retrospectives of his work toured around Japan as part of the CALF special all night screenings.

ALFREDO COVELLI

Alfredo Covelli (1979) starts off as screenwriter: he writes for television series and films (“La scuola è finita” by Valerio Jalongo, “Studio Illegale” by Umberto Carteni).
As a director, in 2011 he makes his first short film, “Nonna si deve asciugare”, which is selected in 150 festivals for 30 states.
In 2012 he shoots his short experimental documentaries “Salmon”, “Missing Parts” and “Love Letter, even if treat me bad” between Israel and Palestine. In 2013 he shoots the documentary “Ring People” while living in the homeless community of Los Angeles.
His works have won many international awards, mainly in the United States.
“With real stars above my head” (2014) is his first feature film.
He is the founder of MEPRODUCODASOLO SRL, a production company aimed at producing his own films and some of his colleagues’ as well – those neglected by the traditional industry.

SEBASTIAN WESMAN

Sebastian Wesman is a filmmaker and composer born 1980 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, currently living in Estonia. In 2013 he founded a platform of creation called “Otros Parámetros Films”, from which he, together with other professionals, realizes his films and musical compositions that include choral and orchestral works and compositions for string quartet. He studied arts and dedicated himself to studying musical composition and different instruments including piano, guitar, viola and violin. After a few years he started to also study theatre, film, photography and this lead him to being dedicated to both music and cinema: he produced A Blue Bird” (2012), “Visual Poems” (2013) and the short film “New World” (2014). 2015 sees the birth of “Metàfora”, his first feature film.

ALESSIO DOGANA

After graduating in Communication Studies, Carlani and Dogana move to Barcelona where they study Cinema and Documentary at the Escuela de Cine y Audiovisuals de Cataluna. Back in Italy, they start working with Shortcut Productions (amongst their works: Galbusera Twitter, Mini Photobox Milano, Nesquik, Radio 105, IRFE). In 2010 they launch Beemotion CDP, aimed at  developing new ways of audio-visual communication.
Carlani is among the authors of “Mario, una serie di Maccio Capotonda” airing on MTV since 2013, and of the movie “Italiano Medio”, 2015; together they write ZOOFARI MIAMI, a “105 Zoo” webserie airing on FLOPTV.
In 2014 they inaugurate the trilogy of documentaries “Stati Nascenti”; the second installment, based on an interview with director and screenwriter Silvano Agosti, was just recently produced.
