NATIONAL COMPETITION – LFF2021
The Lago Film Fest National Competition is the competitive section of the festival dedicated to short films by Italian authors and/or Italian productions.
In such a significant year as 2021, the National Competition has focused on the search for a new wave of Italian cinema, of emerging authors who can write important pages of cinema in the years to come and bring a breath of fresh air to the national scene.
In doing so, Lago Film Fest has decided to give back to the spectator a ferment present in Italy through several fronts, be it experimental cinema or genre cinema, observational documentary or animation; all faces that tell the state of the art of Italian cinema to come.
The National Competition will also be an opportunity to take an imaginary journey through Italy’s past, present and future, addressing contemporary themes, problems, experiences and challenges.
The extraordinary nature of the 2021 selection is demonstrated by the presence of 5 works presented as world premieres.
