The END – European Workshop for Film Criticism

The European Workshops For Film Criticism are a collaboration of the European Network for Film Discourse “The END” & Talking Shorts with the support of the EU MEDIA program.

Do you love film festivals?
Are you passionate about writing?
Do you want to learn how to create quality texts on films?

The European Network for Film Discourse (The END) and the short film magazine Talking Shorts are organizing two multi-day workshop sessions for aspiring film critics during the short film festivals in Lago (July) and Ljubljana (August).

Under the guidance of established journalists and film scholars, you will gain insight into journalistic practices and learn the basic craft of film criticism through short films and curated short film programmes.

The writing of your texts will be supervised editorially during the festivals, and a selection of the texts will finally be published on talkingshorts.com.
