Nuovi Segni (New Signs) is conceived as a panorama of cinema that rethinks cinema, as the competition that brings experimental works to Lago Film Fest, as an opening to the multiple possibilities of today and a state of the art on the cinema to come.
In this edition, the competition focused on films that could reason about the medium, the device and the point of view, in order to refocus the art of cinema in 2022.
The works presented are animations, fictions and documentaries that speak and narrate stories and sensibilities that are indigenous and plural, peculiar and global. New Signs is a journey through the seventh art that rethinks itself, that wants to look forward but also backward, that observes itself trying to better understand its own boundaries.
