PRINCÌPÎ AWARD JURY
Jaume Claret Muxart (1998, Barcelona) studied at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. His debut feature film, STRANGE RIVER (2025), premiered at Venice Film Festival in Orizzonti section, and screened at Viennale, San Sebastian FF and New Directors/New Films, among others. His short films ELLA I JO (2020), DIE DONAU (2023), and OUR ROOM (2025) have premiered at international festivals such as IFFRotterdam, San Sebastian FF or Lago FF. He is a member of Arquitectura Filmada and the educational program Cinema en curs of the association A Bao A Qu.
REN SCATENI
Ren Scateni is a film curator and writer whose practice embraces experimental works and artists’ moving image exploring the interstices of political, disruptive, and liminal identities. His writing has appeared in various art and film magazines including ArtReview, Hyperallergic, and Sight and Sound. Ren is currently Curatorial Lead at Glasgow Short Film Festival and has been/is working across curation, consulting, mentoring, and PR for festivals, artists, cultural organisations, and agencies including Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival, Queer East, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, BFI Doc Society, and Square Eyes. Ren is a Trustee of Alchemy Film & Arts.
NELLY BEN HAYOUN STEPANIAN
Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stépanian, Ph.D (they/them), is a filmmaker, analogue astronaut, multidisciplinary creative and cultural activist whose work explores diasporic, queer and ecofeminist futures through experimental cinema and documentary. Their films have screened internationally at festivals including SXSW, Munich Film Festival, Frameline, BFI London Film Festival and other major venues, and have received support and awards from the Sundance Institute and BFI Doc Society. Their work has been presented at institutions including MoMA, the V&A, the MET and the National Museum of China. Alongside filmmaking, Nelly has developed large-scale cultural projects with organisations including NASA, the United Nations and the SETI Institute. Their films and artworks are held in the British Film Institute Archive and other collections internationally. In 2025, Nelly was selected as one of 81 Berlinale Talents. They are currently working on a new feature film called Heartsnatcher, a queer and drag investigation of world peace- via the International Space Station.
