CHECKLIST DIARI DA UNA SPEDIZIONE IN MONGOLIA – LFF2019

Documentary by Giacomo De Donà and Paolo Dal Pont

What could be hiding among the mountains of Khangai National Park? A National Park far from our idea of a protected area. An area whose boundaries are only traced on paper and not on the ground.
In August 2018, a group of young Italian researchers visited the park for the first time and surveyed the area to see what these mountains and valleys could be

enshrining only to discover that they contain an unbelievable biodiversity.
This short documentary shot progressively among Siberian larch forests and mountain steppe lands at altitudes over 3000 m offers an introduction to the atmosphere of central Mongolia and an overview of what it means to research in remote and unknown places.
