L.O.S.T. LAGO ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK – PREMIO MIGLIOR COLONNA SONORA – LFF2019

If sound is a medium of infinite forms, L.O.S.T. goes hunting for the most unlikely ones

Sound is at the core of the project. Music is at the core of sound. In harmony with the pictures, it pulls invisible strings directly linked to the deepest depths of the soul. L.O.S.T. is a path looking for a different approach to listening. A place where the stories sound waves tell are sustained even beyond first impact. You may find yourself capturing an exchange of views between the members of the jury* as they designate the best soundtrack or sound design. You may register bits of expert know-how as they are revealed during a masterclass held by the lake side. You may immerse yourself undisturbed in the dimension of sound of a cinematographic piece, or discover how a musical score has a different intensity

and effect of picture when performed live. Let yourself be traversed by the vibrations of a drum kit while standing in the middle of a courtyard enclosed by stone houses. All kinds of sound accidents happen in Lago! The encounter between a theremin and an obsessively rhythmic wooden machine; an electronic jam session, harp playing with an experimental short film and the incessant frog croaking sound in the background. If sound is a medium of infinite forms, L.O.S.T. goes hunting for the most unlikely ones.
