Viv Li is a Chinese filmmaker and artist based in Berlin. Born and raised in Beijing, she has spent 15 years across Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia. She holds a MA from DocNomads and a BA from the University of Manchester. An alumna of Sundance Institute and Berlinale Talents, her film ACROSS THE WATERS was nominated for the Short Film Palme d’Or at Cannes in 2024 and won the Lights On Women’s Worth Award. Her work has also competed at the Venice Film Festival and won awards at IDFA. Her documentary feature TWO MOUNTAINS WEIGHING DOWN MY CHEST had its world premiere at Berlinale in 2026 and was nominated for a Teddy Award, making her one of the few emerging directors that presented work in all of the “Big Three” film festivals. She is currently developing her first narrative feature SUN HAZE.
TIMOTEUS ANGGAWAN KUSNO
Timoteus Anggawan Kusno is an artist-filmmaker working between cinema, installation, and moving-image practice. His work moves through dream, memory, and historical shadows, asking how images shape the ways histories are remembered, staged, and unsettled. His films and installations have been presented at major institutions and festivals including Tate Modern, Rijksmuseum, Eye Filmmuseum, Mori Art Museum Tokyo, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Seoul, Fundació Joan Miró, Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève, Berlinale, and International Film Festival Rotterdam, which presented a focus programme dedicated to his works in 2025. He has received the Han Nefkens Foundation–Loop Barcelona Video Production Award, the VISIO European Programme on Artists’ Moving Images, support from the Hubert Bals Fund, and the Locarno Residency Grand Prix. He lives and works between Amsterdam and Yogyakarta.
ROB JACOBS
Rob Jacobs (he/they) is a filmmaker and organizer interested in filmmaking as a way of being together. Rob studied psychology and communication and was introduced to cinema by friends and roommates, from whom he learned editing and sound recording. Together with his colleagues Paul Shemisi, Anne Reijniers, and Nizar Saleh, Rob co-founded Collectif Faire-part, a collective of Belgian and Congolese filmmakers telling new stories about Kinshasa, Brussels, and the many connections between them. The collective’s films have travelled worldwide, including IFFR, Berlinale, CIFF, and Cinéma du Réel. They have hosted numerous performances and film programmes. Alongside filmmaking, Rob has facilitated workshops on gender, masculinity, and non-violent communication in high schools, and is currently training to become a conflict mediator.
