A year after the surprising announcement that the Lago Film Fest 2014 edition would have been the last one, due to a mysterious incident, a strange phenomenon documented during those days persuaded the ZERO filmmakers to come back to the Lago shores and the result is a film: Lago Film Fest. In the mockumentary shot during the 2015 edition, ZERO starts an investigation which goes back a year, in order to dive in deeply in time and fantasy. By mixing village tales, real testimonies, instagram photos and historical facts, a narration comes to life in which reality and imagination are mixed together, transforming the lake into a mirror on which histories, fears and emotions reflect: isn’t this the meaning itself of the festival? In a crossmedia experiment between communication campaign, media stunt, documentary and fiction, the lake reflection (and what can be seen on it) becomes the symbol of that edition and the main character of this project, in which the entire festival staff has been actively involved. In love with LFF since 2014, the ZERO crew gives a tribute to the festival but also to indie cinema, by narrating the reality in a surprising way with few resources.
