
Philip Ullman is a Swedish artist and filmmaker living and working in Amsterdam. By capturing human movements and voices and applying these to non-human characters, Ullman questions the grounds on which value and sentience are prescribed, why one life is more valuable than another, and what it means to be human.

Born in Buôn Ma Thuột, a small city in Vietnam’s central highlands, Trương Minh Quý often sets and finds inspiration for his films in this region. His films have been shown in numerous film festivals such as Berlinale, Locarno, Rotterdam, New York. His latest film, Việt and Nam (2024), was selected for Un Certain Regard at Cannes.

Maya Sfakianaki is a film curator and multidisciplinary creative working across film and music. She holds a degree in Film Studies from the University of Kent and a Master’s in Film Curation from Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola (EQZE). In her short film How Many Lovers Can You Fit Inside the House, she explores the emotional complexities of love, desire, and jealousy, weaving them together within the framework of polyamorous relationships.
Since 2020, Maya has curated programmes for the BFI Film Academy, London Short Film Festival, Leiden Shorts, and Anafi Film Festival. For the past four years, she has also been a member of the selection committee for the International Competition at the Drama International Short Film Festival. She has served on juries and panels for festivals such as Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Riga International Film Festival 2ANNAS, and GoShort.
In both her curatorial and filmmaking work, Maya delves into themes of sexuality, intimacy, and the representation of eroticism in film. Her multidisciplinary approach highlights queer and underrepresented voices while challenging conventional narratives.
