“Stati Nascenti” (Rising states) is an in-progress trilogy of documentaries about utopias, micronations and exceptional states: little self-declared states, nations with picturesque names and with hyperbolic roots. The first chapter is dedicated to Pierino Brunelli, farmer of Romagna and emperor of Magna Romagna, an empire created by him in Pontecucco, in the province of Cesena. The second chapter tells about the Kirghisia, the country from which Silvano Agosti, director and writer, comes from. In Kirghisia, in each public and private sector no one works more than three hours a day, on full salary and the remaining 20 or 21 hours are dedicated to sleep, food, creativity, love, life, oneself, children and fellow men. There are no prisons, because the wrongdoers, dressed with different colors, live in communities and are “condemned” to tell their stories; and if someone wants to make love, they put a blue flower on the chest.
